The significant story of how the global food crisis has been unfolding in our world

The world is facing a global food crisis. Organizations such as the World Food Programme and UNICEF and Global Network Against Food Crises have been sounding the alarm, sharing inconceivable statistics about the significant impact and implications of this crisis.

Many of us have experienced the impact of this crisis in one way or another as food prices rise and our go-to grocery items become out of stock in our local grocery stores. But as we unpack how this global food crisis is unfolding in our world today, we must recognize that the most vulnerable around the world are being hit the hardest.

Right now, families in poverty are being pushed to the brink of starvation. As the food crisis continues to couple with numerous malignant factors such as conflict, extreme weather, drought and the aftermath of the pandemic, global hunger worsens.

This crisis has not happened upon our world suddenly but has been unfolding for the past couple of years. The individual factors contributing to the global food crisis have simply compounded and have gained the attention of the media.

But those who are on the ground serving communities in poverty, like the local church, have long been fighting to answer hunger with hope as they see the very prevalent reality of the global food crisis in the lives of children and families.

We have compiled news articles that will help you glean a clearer picture of the global food crisis and how it is impacting the most vulnerable today. Learn more about how this crisis has been unfolding across our globe through these harrowing and significant headlines.
